  He inherited his father's talent in motor mechanics - always his main inte rest Was appprenticed to Hughs Motors, Nairobi. Played the organ, pian o, violin, guitar,saxiphone & accordian. He had a glorious boy-soprano voi ce which was destroyed by polio. This was overcome eventually, but by th en his voice had broken. He attended school at Eldoret and St Mary's College, Nairobi. He w as killed in a motor accident.
